Hi, I'm an old Unix hack but fairly new to WinDOZE programming, especially
the Visual Studio (specifically, Visual C++ 6.0) and MFC environments. I'd
like to know if it's possible for one application to be able to inspect ALL
keyboard and mouse events AND know which application (assume there are
several independent applications with windows up or minimized, including
mine) each event is intended for. I'm not going to consume these events, I
just want to inspect them and then forward them to their destination, or
discard them, as the case may be.
Based on my newbie-state limited knowledge of WinDOZE, I'd guess that this
means latching onto a notification message early on in the distribution
process. Yes? No? Maybe? Totally wrong?
Can this hook be done? If so, how? Could somebody provide some code snippets
as examples? I'd be most appreciative.
Thanks in advance!
