Hi,

What's the difference between a Windows Console Application and a DOS
application? Does it have to do with the way the DOS window in Windows
only emulates DOS?

Sorry if this is too simple, I didn't find a FAQ for this group.

Thanks

console apps are full-blown 32-bit programs that can access the
win32 api and are also subjected to the same kind of protection
rules as 32-bit gui apps.

I doubt it. There are 32-bit DOS applications. For practical
purposes, the difference is that you cannot run Win32
Console Applications under Dos or Windows 3.1x.
