I'm having trouble with a PCI card which Windows recognises as an "Other
Bridge Device". I offer up a .inf and a .sys but the machine crashes
during the installation. If I check the registry there are some of the
entries that I'd expect but some are missing. For example, it indicates
that the .inf is going to be oem32.inf but oem32.inf (and oem32.pnf)
don't exist in %WinDir%\inf.

The other problem is that there are no resources assigned although I
know that the configuration space is set to "request" an interrupt and
two memory areas. I think this may be hardware-related (it's a new
card) so I may not be the correct forum and that I should probably be
asking hardware engineers but I expect a better class of answer from
software engineers ... ;)

I'm not sure what other information to post and I don't want to do an
unnecessary information dump.

Thanks for any help.

In article <7LW3ehB2...@FensterPC.croctec.co.uk>, fen...@croctec.co.uk
says...
You should post the bugcheck analysis from the kernel debugger (windbg.)
Attach the debugger to your test system, and after it crashes run the !analyze
-v command from the debugger and capture the output in a text file. Post that
file here in this thread and we can probably come up with some clues.
