Visual C++ 5.0

Does anyone know how I can sign up for the VC++ 5.0 Beta?
I sent mail to BETAREQ, but haven't heard back and hear rumors that this
route may be very slow.

I believe that it is already in beta testing with an expected release date
of early '97. Assuming that this is true it is unlikely that you would get
the beta via betareq since MS beta testers are usually chosen several
months (more or less) before the test begins.

You might try writing to the product manager for VC++ as an alternative to
betareq. Sometimes the personal touch helps.
