CodeSmith Software is looking for beta testers of a new windows utility (desktop
enhancer) called X-it. If you have FTP access and are willing to provide
feedback (complimentary reg code for feedback :), please email me at
msh...@elkvalley.net. 32bit and 16bit versions are available - I'm looking for
testers with Win3.x, Win9x, NT, or Win-OS/2.
Description
===========
X-it (pronounced "exit") for Windows provides a one button click to common
operations: closing a window, displaying a task list or rollup a window.
When first loaded, it adds a button bar to the right side of all titlebars.
The X-it task list button displays a popup menu of the programs running -
single click one to activate it. Pressing the close button (win3.x only)
does the same action as pressing Alt-F4, or selecting the 'Close' option in
the system menu. The rollup button resizes a window so just the titlebar is
visible. The tasklist button displays the Taskbar (Win9x) or Task Manager
(Win3.x), which lists all programs running. These operations can also be
assigned to the middle mouse button. A "bypass shutdown confirmation" option
is available.
