We have developed a utility called GHOST (General Hardware Orientated
System Transfer) that programmers and system integrators that use
Windows 95, Windows NT and other operating systems are finding very
useful. It’s available from our web site at http://www.ghost.co.nz

The utility will allow you to clone hard drives complete with Non Dos
(including NTFS) partitions to another hard drive either by direct
connect, over coax or network
connection. (and it’s fast !!!)

On my machine I’m achieving transfer rates of approximately 90 Megabytes
per second…which means I’m able to set up Win95 and Office professional
in around 1 minute 28 seconds.

The new hard drive doesn’t require Fdisk or Format and the software will
allow you to increase or decrease the size of the FAT partition. It will
also allow you to create a single file that may be stored on a server
that contains all the information that would be required to load another
drive from the server.

We have added command line processing to make it the ideal tool for a
classroom environment where machines need to be "refreshed" at regular
intervals.

I’d appreciate any feedback…

Best Regards

PS…I have limited my posting to Windows Newsgroups regardless of the
fact that GHOST is capable of cloning other operating systems as well.
