Realtek Ne2000 network not initialised

8029 chipset is not truly ne2000 compliant, and Win95 doesn't like it very much, either.
Probably out o' luck until Realktek releases a new driver for 98.

I got the same problem recently. One one machine, it works fine with the Win98
driver, whereas on another machine it hangs. I solved the problem by replacing
the Win98 driver with the original Relatek driver for Windows 95 shipped with
the card, answering yes when Win98 complains because the files replaced are
newer than the files on the diskette.

Worked fine for me...

Why saving your work since computer hang occur always just
before saving ? Delaying the save operation delays the hang...
