Start up splash screen under 98

Can anyone tell me the file name and location for the startup screen under
'98. It doesn't seem to be the normal logo.sys in the system folder

I read here abouts that the logo is embedded in IO.SYS.
I also read that if there is a logo.sys in the root(?) dir, that it will use
it instead.
I don't know if either of these are accurate, I've not checked them out.
But, you did ask and were not getting anywhere....
If I'm right good, if wrong, sorry.
