IE4 Memory HOG

After I started running IE4 on top of Win 95, I noticed
how very few applications I could run. I got a DOS prompt,
and ran MEM. Out of 32 megs, 31.5 were used!
By Windows and IE4 alone!
Has no one else noticed this?
If you have, please let me know how to alleviate the problem.
