Aptivas and WIN98 upgrade

I cannot find any info on the subject uf upgrading to 98 on the Aptiva. I am
concerned that it won't work because of the typr of installation system
Aptiva has (One CD....all Aptiva software, drivers etc and win96)
Appreciate any and all comments.

I just upgraded a friends 2168-A40 and it works just fine. IBM has a
page on their websight that details how it should be done, but it is
ridiculous. They want you to save all data and restore original
software which will clear all data. The only real problem is the
mwave software which you uninstall and replace with the updated
version. The SETUP.EXE file for this is over 7mb and can be retrieved
from the website. It will automatically remove the old software and
replace it. Be sure to scroll all the way through each readme help
screen as it is presented by the program at each step, particularly if
you have a problem. Some solutions appear after what seems to be the
end of the file when all goes well.
