beta3 will not start the serial port drivers. There are no conflicts (IRQ, I/O), but win2000 says that (for some reason) it does not look like any serial port. Don't have that problem in win98 (uses same settings).

I don't have an answer for you, but I have found that I only have one com port functional. If I try to install my modem it shows no available com port to assign. <shrug>? If you find and anwser can you let me know?

I found out that my ASUS P2B needed the 1009 version of the BIOS (I had 1008). When I posted this question I did not find any newer BIOS rev than 1008.

he he he I have the P2B and a celery 400 clocked to 450 and have the same problem with my comm1. Fortuantely my modem is working on comm2. I thought it was just me. Thanks, Art
