This is ridiculous... The "Connection Manager" seems to pop up and connect
to the internet at times that I do not want it to. How the Hell do I turn
this off?

Please get back to me in email - ne...@netcom.ca. Thanks.

Thanks. I have not been able to test if this will work, but it sounds like
it should.

Thanks a lot for your help.

There's nothing like being on the phone with your insurance broker and
having your modem cut in an dial-out.

Well, thanks a lot for eveyrone's help on the issue. I tried turning off
automatic update of subscriptions, but that did not work.

Does anyone else have any ideas as to how to stop the connection manager
from dialing out?

It may be dialing out because one of my startup programs tries to check for
mail... how do I get IE4 to not open an automatic connection when a winsock
program tries to open a socket? I think this is what is happening...but I do
not know how to fix it.

Please forward all replies to ne...@netcom.ca.
