If I run scandisk for DOS, it reports the drive is fine, with no
problems.
Once scandisk for Windows has decided there is a problem, defrag won't
work either. If I copy all the files to another drive, erase, and
reformat, defrag will work OK until scandisk has pronounced it wrong.
I have not had any operating problems so far - just this error from
Scandskw.exe.
I'm now running Win 98, but had the same problem with Win 95 (I'd hoped
Win 98 might make it go away).
I'm baffled that the problem is only in Windows, and seems to affect
different clusters each time it's run.
Any ideas, anyone?
