Someone at work today asked if I knew anything about the Windows 97
beta. Apparently some of our customers have copies and they are having
problems with our software on the new OS and are calling our Tech
Support people for help.

Someone higher up in my company claimed that it wasn't in beta yet, but
I don't know if they contacted the right person.

Does anyone know where I can sign up to get a copy for testing
compatibility with our products? We got advance copies of the original
Windows 95 betas, and we would like to continue doing this.

Thanks,

Brad Jackson

Send an e-mail message to bet...@microsoft.com describing your situation.
MS is more likely to let someone in your situation into the beta program
than the average Joe, so to speak

The person higher up in your company is right. The Memphis upgrade to Win
95 is not in beta yet (expected in "early '97"). Your customers probably
have the OEM Service Release 2, which causes problems with some software &
hardware configurations. If your software requires the use of FAT or VFAT
partitions there may be a problem if they are using FAT32, for example.
OSR2 will be on the next MSDN CD (Level 2 or higher) in case you don't have
access to it (OSR2 also comes with most new computers running Win 95 now).
