Failed to install Volume Manager 2.0 in Windows Server 2003
Error: Program not for Windows XP
Any solutions? Thanks!
Programs like Partition Magic do a lot of low-level stuff, and they are
very operating system specific.
If you run them on the wrong operating system, you run a good chance of
trashing the hard disk and making it unusable for that o/s. To prevent
that, the program will check the o/s before installing and refuse to
install in an inappropriate place.
Windows .Net is the old name for Windows Server 2003.
Windows XP is different, but I guess that the program made a mistake,
seeing as Win 2003 didn't exist when it was created.
In either case, the answer is to get a version meant for Win 2003 (if
such an animal exists) or don't use the program.
