When I look under Intel 82371FB PCI to ISA Bridge/Properties/General
it says:
"Windows could not load the driver for this device because the
computer is reporting two ISAPNP.VXD bus types (CODE 2). Contact your
computer manufacture to get an updated BIOS for your computer."
1.Does anyone know what the significance of not having the PCI to ISA
bridge not working?
2.Is there a work around without getting a BIOS upgrade?
3.I have tried reinstalling 1721.3/RC1 but this didn't change things.
As there is likely to be excess baggage in my registry after multiple
build installs, would a clean install of RC1 fix up the problem?
4. My BIOS seems to support power management (APM) but win98 doesn't
give me the suspend option when shutting down (like it use to until I
deleted power management because it caused problems in an earlier
build). I have looked under contol panel/power management/advanced but
there is no enable feature. How to I get the suspend feature enabled?
Krakan this sounds like one for you with your experience of
installations in various hardware setups?
Thanks
