Hi folks,

This is maybe easy to answer, so please give me some hints:

I'm experimenting with InterDev 6.0 March pre-release. To execute
the generated JScripts, IIS 4.0 needs to be updated with a newer
Version of jscript.dll. So far so good. I'm not able to copy the
newer version to \WinNT\system32 because the old versioin is in use.
So I tried to stop the Webserver Publishing service with no success.

This rises a general problem: How to update software on a running
system. I'm not willing to shutdown this server (we are hosting many
virtual servers for our costomers on it), just to replace a DLL.

Has anyone of you an idea?

Greetings
Herbert

You're trying to install BETA software on a system that is required
to support users?

Geez...go figure

I am not familiar with NT but if it has the utility {microsoft system
information as win98 does} then use the tool system file checker, and try
the
"extract one from the inst~~ browse" option . I hope that this helps
