First of all Win97 is not OSR-2. Call OSR-2 Win96 if you like, but Win97
has support for the Universal Serial Bus and The Windows Driver Model. If
you use OSR-2 and NT 4.0, I would say that you are not using FAT32. Make
an emergency repair disk under NT _BEFORE_ you reinstall Win95, when use
the NT Instal disks to replace the OS Loader.

First of all, you have to delete and re-create the partition using large
disk support when FDISK prompts you. Then you can format the drive
normally.
Windows NT 4.0, although it could store it's data on a logical NTFS or
FAT16 partition, the OS Loader is stored on the boot drive, so NT can't be
booted (although I haven't had a chance to test this). NT 4.0 cannot access
fat32.
To make the repair disk, jsut type rdisk.exe at the command prompt.
