Whistler

Hey,
Well, the web is full of Longhorn this, Longhorn that today, so may I
point you to the best OS beta ever made: Whistler, Windows XP's beta.

For some strange reason, for a beta, it seems more stable than XP
retail. My XP Home computer randomly shuts down and "Since upgrades
were installed, your computer had to be rebooted! Again!". I had a PC
running Whistler Build 2257 running for over 2 weeks straight without
shutting down.

Another reason Whistler is awesome: It's early interface. MS decided to
change up the usual Win9x interface with something new: Watercolor. In
my opinion, it's way better than Luna. Check it out for yourself:

So, uh, get your mind of LH and go out there and get some of that
Whistler action! No, I'm not telling you where. :)

I can dig back to 2416, but beyond that?
I assume this an alternate machine or partition.
Sounds fun.
Maybe I will install Windows 3.1 on my old 3486 SX. I haven't experienced that joy for
awhile. A tech support dream. No normal human could get everything working. Quite
satisfying. I especially liked the combo sound card CD drivers thing.
