I did a clean install of Windows 2000 Advanced Server, by booting from the
cd-rom. During the setup process everything was ok, no errors about my
hardware etc,.. it just copied the files to the drive for the 2nd part of
the setup. At the end of this my pc rebooted, the new bootloader menu
appeard and with a timeout of "0" secs windows2000 was started to finish the
last part of the setup. After this I see the horizontal bar on the bottom of
my screen where is also prompted that I can press F8 when there are
problems. So far so good, but when the horizontal bar is @ 100% my screen
blanks and an error appears where after my pc automaticlly reboots,...
becouse my screen blancs by the change of the resolution/screen mode I can't
read the complete error, I can only see the words "multiple processors".

My system runs with a ASUS board with dual PII 266 with 256 Mb ram. I can't
really understand why this could possible be a problem for Advanced Server,
I hope someone can tell me something about this.

Other hardware:
Video: Diamond Fire1000 GL Pro
Controllers: Adaptec W en UW SCSI
Sound: PCI 128
NIC: 3Com PCI combo card,....

Thanx,

It's probably just the bit about having the multi-processor kernel loaded.

Try booting in safe mode, see what happens.
