Major upgrades to Windows 95 will be distributed as OEM Service Release
(OSR). OSR2 is being beta tested, and as expected you can find it on
Warez sites.

Does anyone know the relation between Service packs (SP) and OSRs? Does
SP2 track OSR2, for example?

OSR2 beta2 is 10MB larger that the original Windows 95.

I don't install this sort of stuff, but I did browse through the CAB
files of OSR2-beta2. Here's what I found in the INF files. Could someone
who installed beta2 verify this? Did I miss anything? Does beta3 have
any more new stuff?

all the Service Pack 1 updates
new device drivers, including GPS and IrDA
Internet Explorer 2
AnswerStation (customer support over dual voice/data modems)
DesktopManager (whats that?)
Quartz (ActiveX?)
DirectX 2 (including Direct 3D/Play/Video)
OpenGL (for CAD) including 3D screen savers
new HyperTerm (should have working Telnet)
Vesa Device Driver (what version?) for virtual DOS
FAT32 (for large disks)
