Hello,
I'd installed Windows98 successfully and also converted my boot disk (1GB,
SCSI, C:) to
FAT 32. But when I tried to convert my 2nd disk too (2GB, SCSI, D:) the
conversion routine
always terminated the conversion process, restarted Windows98 and poped up
a message box that said "there is not enough memory to complete the
conversion process".
I deleted all entries from config.sys and autoexec.bat that calimed any
memory (as told
in the message box), but the error is still there. When I start the PC into
DOS mode
manually, the command mem says that I have 478 kB of free memory.

Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of this error ?

Thanks a lot for responding ! Please drop a copy of your answer by mail to
mar...@acm.org, because I only have temporarily news access.

Regards,

Lutz
