I just signed and returned the NDA for the Nashville Beta and was curious if
anyone has received a copy yet from MS. Maybe we could exchange ideas and
such...

Thanks,
Claude

I would appreciate it if you would tell me the phone number or address to
get the Nashville beta. I tried calling one of Microsoft's phone numbers.
They tell me their is no such thing. Thank You

Sincerely,

All you have to do is go to any warez group and anyone who WAS running
windows 95 is now running nashville, also the plus pack is now
available as well.

Good Hunting.

Thats interesting, I you look at several of the new programs coming
out. ie Microsoft's explorer (the newest version} it seems to fit some
of the new options in nashville that many people wondered what those
options might before. Don't be to upset if you don't get your hands
on Nashville cause Memphis will be out soon!!!!

All you have to do is go to the warez groups and just about everyone
there has been using nashville for the last 5 months.

Try Memphis, it's only half way across the state.
I heard they changed the name because of pirated betas getting out.

Congratulations... you might have just gotten yourself removed from
the Beta test...

Some companies insist that beta testers do not mention that they are
beta testing products until the product is released... (I've even
signed an NDA for a product that I am not allowed to talk about for
another 3 years, NOT from microsoft by the way)...

Always read the small print of everything you sign...

Ive read it VERY carfully, I can tell you:
a) That Ive signed the NDA
b) If ive got it
c) discuss things about it with fellow beta testers...
d)if you know somthing, and it is public knowlage about it, i can talk
about it..

Thats it, but i have a feeling MS dont care... wander over to
comp.os.ms-windows.nt.pre-release.... see if that makes your heart
jump...

What product cant you talk about?

Look You just don't seem to understand. Its illegal so you won't be
able to write to anyone to get this. If you are really interested
then get free agent or forte (free agent regestered) and find a news
server the carries warez groups. or find new friends!

Also Memphis is win 97. win 96 will never come out except for the
people that already have it and are distributing it on thier own.

Actually its Memphis. I signed the agreement too. Its Windows 97.

Nashville: "Internet AddOn Pack", Release summer '96
Memphis: "Windows 97", Release sometime late '97

They said they were not ready to send it out yet. If you read the letter,
it said at **least** one month.
(I am assuming this is the letter that was required to be returned by
5/03/96)

I think it has the integrated IE/Explorer shell with OLE Document hosting
(This is cool, I used to use the Nashville Beta 4.10.999, and have read
transcripts of newer versions previews at the PDC)

And it has the Windows NT 4.0 Kernel.
And the FAT 32.

-=Dan Guisinger=-

PS. All this knowlage is already avaible publicly, I have n't broken my
agreement. ;)
