Hi,
Is 1691 an upgrade for earlier winxx version? (not santd-alone like
15xx/16xx)

Thanks

All I can tell you is that I am now using build 1691. And no, I am not
a beta tester. What I did notice on this build however was this. As it
went through the setup screen two things were different. First this
one had the certificate of authenticity logo. Second this build asked
for a registration number. IMHO build 1691 appears more stable than
1687.

There are 2 version of the RC0 build.
One is the upgrade version and the other is the full version for
installation on a bare system.
There are identicle builds apart from the setup routines.

1691 has been replaced by a later interim build 1702 which requires a real
OEM key other then the 11111111-111 etc etc.
Both builds are time bombed.
