Hi

Has anyone here succeeded in hooking up multiple monitors to their Win98
configuration?

I have tried and tried but to no avail.
My system has two S3 graphic cards: an S3 Trio 64V+ (2 MB on board) and an
S3 ViRGE (4 MB on board).
According to the RELNOTES.DOC file, both these card can function as a
primary or secondary adapter.
In Control Panel, System, both cards are listed and so are both monitors
(Sony 15" PnP compatible).

When I boot the system, the secondary adapter switches on the secondary
monitor and the following text appears on the screen:

"If you can read this meesage, Windows has successfully initialized this
graphics adapter"

Text is followed by instruction how to stretch the desktop to the secondary
monitor: Control Panel, Display, Settings, tick the box Extend desktop to
this screen.

But this checkbox is greyed out on my system! No matter what I do, it
remains greyed out.

Yes,
it worked fine with a
S3 ViRGE DX (4 MB on board) and a Daimond Stealth 64 Video (2 MB VRAM) (only
the thirst card is on the list)
