I have been testing various Windows 98 beta versions, and I noticed
that since build 1559 the sliding start-menu has dissapeared....

I'm running 1581 now. Any options or registry entries to turn it back
on? I kinda liked it :)

Thank god.. well.. at least M$. The first thing I noticed about
memphis was that it was fast. It was faster than win95 950a or b.. and
then the second thing I noticed is that they turned around and threw
away their increased display speed by creating idiot scrolling
menus to waste time and cycles.

I can only hope that they're gone for good. (or at least configurable)
