MSIE 4.0
Does Anyone Know when Microsoft Will release the public betatest for this. I
have seen the alpha version from a friend but it locked up starting explorer.
It was a problem in one of the Dlls so he couldn't show it to me. Does any
one know if this can be fixed he didn't know how.

Today in www page of major pc magazine the reporter said he had been
given a copy of Microsoft memo to Beta testers of IE4 that there would be
a 2 month delay. Read 5 or 6 www pc sites and can not remember which
one. Reporter specified that he could not guarantee the memo was true.

Its Gotta be installed from a clean win95 install or it won"t work. Tried
several different ways and that was the only way I got it to work. Fairly
nice features with the alpha, but even after the clean install it's still
pretty buggy :->

Microsoft has jsut announced to all their alphja testers that IE 4.0 will
be out in the next 2 months as public beta. Then, a further private beta
release will be made before the release.

I've had no problems with the August (Alpha2) release myself..and it was
installed on a loaded Win95 machine.
