PCMCIA doesn't connect

When installing windows98 (win98 memphis) on a laptop you might
experience that the PCMCIA card is not being found when starting to use
it. It will be detected and beep correctly. More info under modem setup
works just fine. Sometimes you can only do More info once then it seizes
up. This works fine under win95 and win95 OSR.

The HW detection in win98 is working differently to win95 and therefore
the PCMCIA device seems to be unavailable when it comes to actually dial
out from the modem or use the LAN network.

This only happens on a few laptops.
Mainly types using Databook PCMCIA socket drivers.

Install and use a real mode driver or win95 or NT4 meanwhile.
