Recently, I noticed a McAfee beta for NT while scouring its ftp site.
Here's the files you'll need and how to set them up (they work from
the command prompt in NT for now [no GUI, yet]).

1) retrieve from McAfee's ftp these two files and an optional third
file if you want a McAfee's icon in your program manager:

sun3.mcafee.com/pub/beta/snt-100e.zip
sun3.mcafee.com/pub/antivirus/dat-9510.zip
sun3.mcafee.com/pub/antivirus/scn-226e.zip {optional}

2) expand snt-100e.zip into a subdirectory (like c:\mcafee), which you
have to create

3) expand dat-9510.zip into the SAME subdirectory overwriting the
files already there

4) expand scn-226e.zip into a DIFFERENT subdirectory, rename the
program file wscan.exe -> scan.ico then MOVE it into the McAfee
subdirectory

5) in program manager, set your pif up by clicking on New in File
menu, program item, browse to your subdirectory and select scan.exe,
click on change icon and browse to the same subdirectory and click on
scan.ico, and use this as your command line:

for FULL SCAN, including new Word macro virus:

{path}\scan.exe /adl /all /clean /report report.txt

for QUICK SCAN of program files but will miss new Word macro virus:

{path}\scan.exe /adl /clean /report report.txt

for FLOPPY DRIVE ONLY SCAN:

{path}\scan.exe /many /all /clean /report report.txt

What I did was to set up the full, then copy the icon/pif twice and
make the changes indicated.
