If you are using NT 3.5, the driver for this tape drive is the QIC-40/
QIC-80 driver listed when you run the Windows NT Setup applet and
select Add/Remove Tape Drives... It works just fine (although it
does tend to poll the drive a lot), but doesn't support software
data compression. This means you are only going to store 120 MB
per tape, instead of 250.
Good luck,
Nate
Use the QIC-80 driver included in Win NT. Although it doesn*t support
data-software-compression it works fine -- only with 120 Megabytes.

The standard QIC117 drivers which come with NT work fine, but there is no
compression (i.e. your 250 is really only a 120). Backup Exec from Arcada
supports compression and the Jumbo drives, but it is expensive...

I have asked the folks at the CMS Bulletin board this question many times
over the past several months. They have responded that they are not aware
of any software development efforts inside the company to build drivers for
the Junbo 250 or the parallel 250. I have finally given up asking and
decided to look for another drive to backup my NT system. Their BB
number is 303 635-0650.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't a Jumbo 250 a QIC-80 tape ?? I had one
and used it with the QIC-80 interface with no problems, until it died.
Then I bought a Conner Tape.Store 250. Now THAT puppie has problems !

None yet, but CMS is working on Jumbo/Trakker software that will run
under NT.
