Hello.....

Regarding the use of the sysdiff util that come with the NT Resource Kit -
how in the heck are you supposed to use the damn thing!!? :( I try using
it (for the first time ever) on a plain jane, first time NT installed on PC
with *NO* additional application software, using the command line: SYSDIFF
/BASIC (per instructions, I think...) and all I get back in responce is the
following error msg: "Incorrect arguments. Consult the Windows NT OEM
Preinstall Kit documentation for a description of the arguments to this
application."

As I understand it - you are supoosed to generate an .inf (or *.ini?) file
at the first initial run of sysdiff?? I can't get past what I think is the
first step though! Grrrrrrrrrr - I'm getting frustrated here folks.....

Thanks in advance....

J.D.

P.S. - Please feel free to respond directly @any of the e-mail addresses
below (especially the 1st one as that is work, and where I am most of the
time anyway....)

We've beaten the SYSDIFF issue to death and won. I've deployed 144 NT
4.0 machines with it to date, let me know if you're still interested in
it and I'll forward my notes.
