NT Server 3.5 & WFW 3.11

I am running NT server 3.5 with about 10 WFW 3.11 clients.
The NT machine is a Dell Dimension 486/66 with an Intel
Etherexpress PRO net card. The WFW clients are a mixture of
Dell Lattitude XP DX4s and NEC Versa Es with using PCMCIA cards
from 3com amd Xircom. Several of the WFW clients get the
following
message:
"No domain server available to validate your password.
You were logged on without password validation."
The NT machine is a Dell Dimension 486/66 with an Intel

But the clients can still connect to shared drives and
directories on the
NT server. I am using a NEC with no problems. I don't get that
message
at all. Anyone else have similar problems or have any insights?

Check that the computer names do not have spaces in them. The WFW clients
are probably connecting to the NT drives because of the guest account.

Make sure that your clients are running the same protocol as the server.
