When I try to read news from netscape on my NT (3.51) the articles
do not display. I see the newsgroups in the left half of the window
and when I click on any one, it says "reading articles.." on the
bottom and the Netscape logo animates but the articles never show
up in the right half of the window. A new cache file gets created
everytime I do this though.

I've tried 5.0b and the newer 6.0 beta versions with the same
result. The rest of Netscape works fine. I am connected at 14.4kbs
using PPP to our server at work from home.
I've tried erasing the Netscape directories and reinstalling with
no change.

Has anybody else seen this problem?
Any ideas on how to fix it.

It sounds just like a problem that I have occasionally, but in my case I
know it is my internet access provider, whose news server is sometimes
overloaded or just sick. When this has happened to me, I always suspect
Netscape first (it must be the solid feeling I always get from that text
editor) and fire up Free Agent. When I see the same thing there, I figure
it is my provider.
