Hi,

I'm trying to locate decent backup software for a Seagate 4mm DAT backup system
on Windows NT 4.0. We were sold Cheyenne backup 1.0 for Windows NT and it kept
crashing. Turns out we needed to upgrade to a more recent build for NT 4.0.
Absolutely shitty tech support form CA/Cheyenne (placed on hold for and
eternity and a 7-day email turnaround time) coupled with the fact that we are
still having problems with both Cheyenne Arcserve and Inoculan even after
upgrades has lead me to wonder if anyone can suggest any alternatives.

Regards,

Duncan.

I'm using Ultra Bac. I had some problems which turned out to be my system.
Tech support stuck by me and really helped. They will give you 30 days to
evaluate the software with no questions asked. Their program supports Software
compression but to use it you MUST have a Pentium or better.

I use Seagate Backup Exec (used to be Arcada ...).
The backup that comes with NT is in fact a (very) limited version of this
excellent backup program.
