Hi,

I am a systemsmanager in a secondary school in Belgium.
We have this nasty little problem with our proxy server (at least we think
that's the culprit):
if often fails to close the COM-port (to which our ISDN-modem is connected)
on our NT 4.0-server.

The consequence it that next time it refuses to open that same COM-port,
because "another application is currently using that port".
A reboot of the server helps, but I am not always there to do exactly that!

What we need is a little program which can be iconized on the server NT
4.0-desktop, which closes the COM-ports (1/2), and that's it!

Do you know of such a program or (if you are an experienced programmer),
could you write such a small utility?

I'm sure all our pupils wanting to surf the Net, would we grateful to you!

Thanks

Toon Van Daele
P.S. Please mail to tvd...@village.uunet.be.delete_this
(without the .delete_this of course ;-) )
