ntraise.zip available on CIS in the Windows Shareware/NT lib. Does a
decent job of autoraise on mouse focus. (And it's free)

For those who don't know what X-mouse is, it allows the mouse pointer to
focus to the window it is currently on. The Microsoft behavior is that
you must click on a window first before you can begin using it.
Please mail me directly and I'll post the results.
Thanks.

I looked high and low for this gem with no luck. Is there a place on the 'net
where those without a Compuserve account can download "ntraise.zip"? Thanks
for your time.

Actually, you can configure the WIN'95 Xmouse driver to focus and raise the
current window.
In order to do this you have to use the Xmouse icon in Control Panel, and
in order to have THAT available, Xmouse must be installed into and loaded
form an 8.3 (non-longfilename) directory.
A bug in this release prevents the CP Xmouse icon from appearing if the EXE
is called form anything other than an 8.3 directory.

Are you saying that the Windows 95 PowerToys program xmouse.exe will work
under Windows NT? How so? Does it require the alpha NewShell? Please
enlighten us.
Also, could some kind soul who has pulled NTRAISE.ZIP from the NT Shareware
lib on Compuserve, please make it available via FTP or provide us with the
info on who the author is and how we can contact him/her.
I would hope that the author would want the program more widely distributed
as to generate more registrations. I have seen several dozen posts in the
pasts where posters asked for X-Mouse type functionality for Windows NT have
gone away empty handed.

Couple typos here; should be
ftp://www.coast.net/SimTel/nt/desktop/ntraise.zip
Or go to http://www.coast.net/SimTel/nt/desktop.html and download
ntraise.zip directly.
