Hello,

How can I prevent a user to lock his window in NT 4.0
(server/workstation)

If you ever find out, let us all know. I complained about
this to MS technical support, and was told that the only
way to do this was to write your own GINA. If this has
changed in the meantime, I'd sure like to know about it.

But, this capability is a privilege set forth by MS for a user to
safely protect his/her environment whilst away from the machine...

Here's an example of why someone might want to do this....

I work at a place where our email and word-processing is done (for the
most part) on a DEC VMS system running ALLIN1. Over the years we've
given computer accounts to machine operators on the production floor so
that while they're taking a break they can use a public terminal near
their work location. Now we're migrating to MS Exchange for email. I'd
like to put public PCs running NT on the floor and give every operator
an account like they have today. Problem is, if one operator decides to
lock a PC and walk away someone else will either have to boot it or call
for help.

I'd rather just say that on those PC's you have to save your work and
log off, not lock them.
