Folks,

[First my apologies for the last two brain-damaged posts.]

I have a question about printing from NT V3.51 to a DEClaser 5100
Postscript printer:

In order to speed up printing, I use mainly those fonts that are
available in the printer. Other True Type fonts have to be downloaded as
soft fonts. To make sure that printer fonts are downloaded, I went into:

Print Manager | PRINTER | PROPERTIES | SETUP | FONT SUBST...

and associated the True Type fonts that are installed in NT to appropriate
printer fonts.

As you may know, to do this, NT displays a dialog box that has two
columns: 1) "For True Type Font" and 2) "Substitute Printer Font".
You select a True Type font from column 1 and then a printer font
from column 2.

The problem is that there are several printer fonts that are NOT
listed in the second column. This means that, for example, AGaramond,
which I want to use and which IS available in my printer, MUST be
downloaded as a soft font; this results in very slow printing.

So, my question is, how is the list of printer fonts in column 2 established?
Is there a way (through an INI file, perhaps) to add the missing printer
fonts to this list?

Thanks in advance.
