I installed the WinFax Pro Preview edition for NT a while ago. It is
going to expire in two days so I went to uninstall it but.....in
mucking around with the registry, I must have deleted the uninstall
command because it doesn't show up under Add/Remove Programs. I
looked in the registry under
LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Uninstall
where the commands are usually kept, but no luck..it's gone.

I tried the wfuninst.exe located under the WINNT35 directory which
just brought up Dr. Watson. There is a wfxuninst.dll in the WINFAX
directory, but I don't know what else goes with it.

Does anyone know the Uninstall command that I need to use? I really
don't want to manually start deleting files.

Thank You !!

You could try reinstalling it, which would recreate anything you
mucked with, then uninstalling......

Incidentally, I just got the production release of the program,
and it works well (there were a couple of bugs in the preview,
which are fixed).

it's a piece of junk (bloated and overdone). try Microsofts fax service --
much better integration.

Be aware that WinFax Pro NT Beta Trial version slaps lots of junk all over
the system that will take a lot of digging to remove. I'm re-installing my
NT rather than waste my time tracking all that nonsense down. Take a look
at the registry to see what I mean. Even with CleanSweep I can't rid
everything. Even with Administrator access I can't rid everything. What
the hell did they do? I could with a LOT of work clean it up, but I can
re-install in 5-15 minutes NT, so I'm going there instead.

I'm finding the the WinFaxPro printer driver doesn't always automatically
activate WinFaxPro when I print to it. Things just sit there in the
printer's que until I manually start WFP.

And I REALLY REALLY hate the way WFP formats my Corel printed documents to
a single margin rather than the multiple modified version my originals
have.

I agree, but so is everything else on the IBM platform.

Is DOG slow and limited in features for even simple day to day power.

Enough fax comparison, we now return you to your regularly scheduled NT
forum.
