The Citrix modified NT is used by Tektronix, who market a WinDD product.
It is a multiuser NT running on an Intel Box, and client programs exist
for several Unix operating systems (not Linux). This means, You set up
one WinDD, install the clients to Unix workstations, and Unix users can
open a NT window on their workstation and use Windows programs. This
saves money, users don't need an additional computer on their desk for
the occasional Windows use, and makes administration easier since there
is only one NT machine and programs are installed only once.

This is more difficult to answer.

Info:
To my knowledge, two companies in the world have access to NT source
code to be able to do that: Citrix, who sells a *modified* version of
NT, and Prologue, who sells an *add-on* to NT.
Now, two questions:
1/ Would any one need such a multiuser configuration and *why*?
2/ Why would'nt Microsoft integrate such a feature in Windows NT?
Thanks
