my question is : can i set these on 2 eide hdd -or will i need scsi ?
-is there any bootmanager that will reliably handle those on one 6gig
eide hdd ??
-if i use scsi, how reliable are those $50 controllers?-should i invest
in the 200$ for an adaptec controler??
how about those 2 versions of nt, will they coexist without problems?
and what about the lilo bootmanager, can it handle the things i want to
do ?
any help is greatly appreciated !!!

I'm using System Commander currently but have used ntloader with a similar
arrangement by coping the MBRs of Linux and SCO to files on my C: drive and
editing boot.ini to load these MBRs.
My guess is you will not get a SCSI card you can use to boot with for $50.
LILO is usable but needs a lot of tweaking to get everything correct. I'm
using it with System Commander by writting it to the super block of Linux's
partition.
I've never had two instances of NT installed for the same version different
language but did run NT4 and NT3.51 together without incident.
If you have specific questions, email me.

You should have no problem with two EIDE drives. NT is OK with more than
one copy on the same drive.
The LINUX will also work but is a good idea to make sure that the LINUX
partitions are at the beggining of the disk (it doesn't matter if this
is first or second disk but ife you ever get three disks don't put LINUX
on the third one as LILO can be a problem)
I use the NT loader to start NT, LINUX (via LILO) and DOS. To set up
LILO install it to the LINUX partition or a floppy and then
run LILO -S /dospartiton/Linux.bin to create an image of the boot
sector in a file that the NT laoder can then find by edditing boot.ini
something like the following:
[boot loader]
timeout=4
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Windows NT Workstation
Version 4.00"
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Windows NT Workstation
Version 4.00 [VGA mode]" /basevideo /sos
C:\ = "MS-DOS"
C:\Linux.bin = "Linux"
Good luck!
