We use Windows 2000 PPTP VPN. Last week I upgraded the VPN server. Now we
just can't keep a VPN session working more than a few minutes. The VPN
servers' Event Viewer says "the reason for disconnecting is user's request".
I checked and rechecked all my configs, but I just can't figure what's
causing this. Is it possible the firewall is blocking a crucial port (I've
enabled UDP 1723 and GRE47 as instructed my MS) Could it be a faulty NIC on
the WAN side? I welcome any suggestion.

What kind of upgrade to the server did you do? You may just want to
re-apply the latest service pack. I had so much trouble with VPN initially,
and it turned out that the newest service pack cured it.
