GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Support technician responsible for installation and troubleshooting
primarily desktop, laptop, IP phone, and printers at Toyota Motor
Manufacturing Indiana
facility and surrounding buildings.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Responsible for local coordination, installation and on-going support
for Windows XP desktops, laptops and printers. Work as a liaison
between the
Indiana plant personnel and North American I/S staff located in
Kentucky.
Responsible for maintaining a standard image provided by the Corporate
Support office on user laptops, desktops and peripheral devices which
may include
PDA’s, Blackberry and other handheld devices. Candidate will be
required to setup and configure desktop and laptop equipment (Dell and
Toshiba) with Windows
XP. Strong troubleshooting capabilities required. Certifications to
fix Toshiba laptop and Dell desktop equipment is a plus.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel,Word) and
Windows 2003 Professional. Requires frequent interface with the user
community.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP and SCCM.
Basic understanding of Windows Active Directory and Microsoft’s
Application Compatibility Toolkit. Experience with troubleshooting
user applications.
An understanding of desktop imaging and automated tools such as
Microsoft’s SCCM product. Experience using the remote control
features of Microsoft’s SCCM
a plus.
Familiarity of Lotus Notes a plus. MCSE and other certifications a
plus.
Position may be expanded to include procurement functions including
ordering and receiving, hardware disposal and software license
tracking.
