I'm running a 100 user network on NT Server 4.0 sp6a

I'm getting event log errors 1008 and 4005 consistently in the application
event log. They repeat about every two minutes until the log is full.

Here is the text from the two messages:
Event ID 1008 Perflib
The Open Procedure for service "Tcpip" in DLL "Perfctrs.dll" failed.
Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code
returned is DWORD 0.

Event ID 4005 perfctrs
Load of INETMIB1.DLL failed. Make sure the DLL file is in the PATH. WIN32
Error number is returned in the data.

There is a KB article about this issue at this link.
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q193/8/99.ASP

The gist of the article is that this is a known issue that was fixed as of
Service Pack 4. So far, so good.

Unfortunately I am at service pack 6 and the issue is still there.

Anyone got any ideas where to go next?

This problem is caused by the failure of Inetmib1.dll to initialize properly
upon loading where memory is allocated during initialization, but not
de-allocated during clean-up. My suggestion is to reinstall the service pack
since you already has the latest one.
