I recently gave a friend my linksys wrt54g which I had been using for over
a year without any problems. Now it seem the router loses access to the
internet requiring you to log into the router and renew the dhcp every ten
or so minutes. Any one have any ideas. The cables are fine and the lights
onthe router indicate a connection. TIA

Hello,

That is a bit odd. It is either the ISP or a problem with the router,
of course.

First thing is to make sure the router firmware is up to date.

After that, you might try swapping out with a different router or
calling Linksys to see if it is a known common problem, and hopefully
has an easy fix.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
