Thanks for reading....
Does anyone know the command-line switches for Windows for Workgroups
3.11? I can't run Windows after removing the one computer connected to
it (NE2000 type card , peer-to-peer) - it freezes on the startup
screen. I searched Micosoft's web site - no luck. There HAS to be a
switch that let's WFWG run like Windows 3.11 (no network).
Thanks in advance - Jeff

Jeff,
Try, win /d:t
This loads windows 3.11 in the standard mode.

Good Luck.

& the memory address makes your processes abort
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report!

Try
win /?
it will tell you
win /n bypass network detection

These are the correct addresses:

(who said X400 addresses aren't easy to remember :-)

Just to confuse some of those junkmailers:

Well the switch I know for sure is Win/n, this will not load any network
drivers or protocols

Hi, Jeff,

ever tried to enter "win /?" to get the switches? Here they are:

WIN [/B] [/N] [/D:[C][F][S][V][X]]

/B Creates BOOTLOG.TXT
/N Keeps Windows from loading any network drivers (That's what you want,
isn't it?)
/D:
C deactivates 32-bit file access.
F deactivates 32-bit diskaccess.
(Same as 32BitDiskAccess=FALSE in SYSTEM.INI)
S Windows will not use ROM adresses F000:0000.
(Same as SystemROMBreakPoint=FALSE in SYSTEM.INI)
V Windows passes disk requests to the ROM-BIOS
(Same as VirtualHDIRQ=FALSE in SYSTEM.IN)
X Windows will not use RAM between A000 and FFFF
(Same as EMMExclude=A000-FFFF in SYSTEM.INI)
T Windows will start in Standard Mode, although the manual says this
is not possible, yet it works (undocumented)

Regards,
Karl
