Hi,

Does anyone know where to get TCP/IP stack and SLIP/PPP
for MS-Windows 3.1?

I just downloaded Netscape Navigator 3.0 beta. It needs
TCP/IP stack and SLIP/PPP to work.

I found TCP32B.EXE at Microsoft's ftp site, but it is for
MS-Windows for Workgroups, I need a version for Windows 3.1.

Many thanks!

I believe that the 'Trumpet Winsock' gives a winsock stack that has
a built in SLIP driver. It is shareware and upon configuration,
you can select either an external network card driver or an internal
Serial Line driver. Hope this helps, although it might depend on the
version of Trumpet you get. I don't think the older versions had this
and you would have to get an external (Crywnr packet drivers?) driver
(also shareware) which does not support autodialup.

I believe that Trumpet Winsock will solve the problem you are having. An
FTP site to get this is b-box.trumpet.com.au

Hope this helps.

I use Trumpet Winsock 2.1F together with Windows 3.1 to support
Netscape and Lotus Notes WAN connections (over a NIC) at work and
WS_FTP, Eudora Email and again Netscape over the built-in PPP on
notebooks and at home. So far I'm very satisfied with its
functionality and stability. I got it from Trumpet for 25 AUS$, which
I think is a fair amount of money for this TCP/IP stack.
