I've got a PC behind a Verizon DSL (i.e. very slow) connection.

In the past I have been able to run SpeedTest.net and get
upload/download speeds.

Now I can't get any results.

I fire up SpeedTest.net, click "Begin Test", and then it just sits there
"Selecting best server based on ping". We're not talking just really
slow... last time I let it sit like that for over 24 hours.

www.ipChicken.com delivers an IP address.

An IP cam server from a couple miles away can get to a camera on the
network.

I can TeamViewer into the PC from home.

It's always been slow (44k in most SpeetTests) but it seems even slower
than ever when updating TeamViewer screens and rendering the camera
stream.

Can anybody suggest what might be making SpeedTest.net appear to hang?

Hi, I'm getting the same problem. I have previously tested my connection and received over 115 Mb/s, which is the fastest speed in the area I am located in. However, I am plagued by the everlasting 'Searching for best server based on ping' result. I am sorry, I cannot help you, but am also hoping for a solution to this test.
