I have the MS TCP/IP stack and a MegaHertz PCMCIA Ethernet card. I
am experimenting with the two Network Driver Types: NDIS2 and ODI/NDIS3.
I can get both to work. I am not using any other network protocol.

What are the differences between these two drivers? What are the
advantages / disadvantages to each?

Thanks, Rick

The ODI/NDIS3 is designed to work with Novell NetWare as well as MS
Windows networking. The NDIS2 doesn't support Novell.

The NDIS 3 driver is 32-bit and will live in Extended memory. The NDIS 2
driver is real mode and will live below the 1mb line.

In general, the Ndis 2 driver will be slower and take up more
conventional memory.
