When you are in dos prompt, you type "route print". You will get a list of
Network Address, Netmask, Gateway Address and Interface. Is any one knows what
are they usefull?

Routing is used to enable you to connect 2 networks, or subnets
together. Two networks are joined together by a 'router'. This is a box
that has two betwork cards in, one for each network.
By default, machines on each network will only be able to communicate
with machines on their own network. To communicate with machines on the
other network, an entry woul dhave to be made in the routing table that
specified that all requests for the other network had to be sent to the
router box that stradles the two networks.
It is then up to the router to forward the traffic to the other network.
